Internal Flow Systems (Second Edition)

Book

A guide to the design and analyse of fluid flow systems and components. Used internationally by companies in the automotive, aerospace, defence, power, oil and gas, water and other industries as a de facto standard.

Internal Flow Systems - Now published by the author - D. S. Miller

Pressure loss coefficients for wide range of components are accompanied by information on flow system design, compressible flow and cavitation. Loss coefficients and calculation procedures are classified as to their accuracy and suitability. Information on flow behaviour enables users to estimate pressure losses in none standard flow geometries and to design for flow conditions into critical components.

Web Site

This site provides supplementary information, clarification and updates to the book. It also provides information on specialist aspects of internal flows, such as fluid flow transients in piping systems.

Research Studies and Experimental Measurements

Guidance is provided on carrying out experimental studies to measure the performance of flow systems components. The aim is to direct researchers to areas of internal flow where they can make important contributions and to provide researchers with support for generating reliable flow system data.
